My friend Jan, (isn't that the greatest name, ever!,) is hosting Fun Monday, today. She wants to know about our television watching habits.
"What kind of TV viewer are you? Do you like sitcoms or do you prefer drama. Are soap operas your cup of tea or murder mysteries. Game, variety and reality shows are big this year too. These are just a few examples. Share with us your favorite shows and why you like it or them so much."
Simply stated, I don't have any. It makes my life easier to just let Bob be in charge of the remote and watch what he wants. TV just doesn't rank high in my lifes priorities. If I'm sitting reading, which I do all the time, (this year I've already read 92 books,) I glance at whatever happens to be on. If I'm quilting, I do that in the dining room, I can do the same thing.
I figure this is an easy way to have an easy companionable evening; we're both happy and we're together in the same room.
LOL....I say the same thing when someone else blogs and has my name. LOL
ReplyDeleteMy F M is now posted. If you can find time, won't you stop by? Have a great week!!
You are so right...Jan is a beautiful name..hehe. Ahhh such an uncomplicated life you have...sounds so peacful. I laughed when you said you let Bob have control of the remote...now isnt that a man thing..Jer carries it with him when he goes into another room..afraid I will change the channel. Thanks for playing Jan and Happy FM
ReplyDeletecan't beat that!
ReplyDelete92 books read so far this year--wonderful! Do you have them listed anywhere on your blog? Love to see what others read. I keep a running list of books read and movies seen for the year. Helps remind me to watch less TV and read more.
ReplyDeleteI love to read too, but 92 so far this year ... wow!
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that once the kid is gone, we will fall into the same pattern. I'm just not that into it. He's not either though, so maybe we'll just chuck the thing altogether...
ReplyDeleteHee Hee. I just wait til Hubby falls asleep (which he always does) and steal it then.
ReplyDeleteI think you are wise! If I am in the dining room at the computer then hubby has the remote (as this is his preferred room) and I don't stand a chance of watching anything. If I'm really intent on watching something I retreat to the other room, and use my laptop as I watch.
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely my kind of girl! So many more interesting things to do than watch TV. (When my kids are out of the house I wonder if I can have 92 books read by this time of the year!)
