I have a total of over 1650 post out there in blogland, so I thought I was due to celebrate with a give away.
One of my favorite places is Barnes and Noble, so I'm giving away a $25.00 Gift Certificate to B&N. If you're not a reader, there are many other options to spend a GC; music, movies; cheesecake, coffee, soup, sandwiches, from the cafe; games, puzzles, and other gift items. If you don't live near a B&N, you can use it on-line at BN.com.
If you want to win, leave a comment. For a second entry, tell me about your favorite recent read. If you're not a reader tell me about your hobby or favorite sport. I'll use a random number generator to select the winner on 12/10. Good luck.
Yay! I want to win!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite read so far this year has been ... lots to choose from ... Going Rogue by Sarah Palin (LOL!) just kidding - my real pick is The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, very, very good book.
ReplyDeleteHi Jan..put my name in the hat...I would love to win.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite read so far is the Shack...although i am now reading Time Keeper by John Atkinson...this is a facinating story about a boy who rose above learning disabilities when he was growing up. Its a real page turner. check him out...he is on my blog list.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 2 years!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your 2nd year. And what fun to celebrate with a giveaway. While I've read several books recently, the one that remains to stand out in my mind to recommend, is "Through Violet Eyes", by Stephen Woodworth. I couldn't put it down!

ReplyDeleteI just finished The Lemon Jelly Cake by Madeline Smith and really enjoyed it! It was a quick and pleasant read, I just happened to pick it up in the used bookstore near my house. It was very sunny and didn't have much conflict, just what I had been wanting!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to wish you Happy Blogiversary, keep um coming...I enjoy reading your posts.
ReplyDeleteI AM a reader! This year I started keeping track of the books I've read. Of course, it is also the year that I started quilting which is taking a lot of my reading time!
ReplyDeleteHi Jan! Wow, what a great give away....I'm a reader when I'm not quilting. My favorite author at this time are Christine Feehan. I used to live in the B&N with I was teaching...all those art books were so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Jan. Blogging is so much fun, and I myself have "met" so many wonderful folks!
ReplyDeleteI have become aquainted with the works of Tasha Tudor, and admire her so much. I think I could have adapted to her life with no problems. So far I only have 4 of her books, but I'm always on the look out for more.

ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteI'm sad to say I'm not much of a reader (unless it's got lots of pictures) but I do dozens of crafts :) Jewelry, painting, soap making, photography, animation... and on and on :)

We always travel with an audio book, and we made multiple stops at B&N to restock on our recent trip--though we didn't get in to see you in Murietta while we were there briefly. The one we really enjoyed , as it was a change of pace from the also good Le Carre and Grisham stories we'd listened to earlier, was Rainwater by Sandra Brown. Set in the Texas Dustbowl amid serious problems of the Depression and racial ensions, it explores some interesting themes. The ending took me totally by surprise. (Maybe I shouldn't say that--does it constitute a spoiler?) I'll be looking for more books by her and hope my book club will discuss this one.
ReplyDeleteoooooh! I scrolled up the comments after leaving mine. I loved the Book Thief, too. I guess I have something in common with Carrie.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I just started reading "First Family" by David Baldacci. I've been a fan of that author ever since I read "The Camel Club", LOL.
ReplyDeleteI haven't visited you in a while, and I'm sorry that I had lost track of your lovely blog. I've got you on my blog roll now, so I can do better.
I am a Barnes and Nobles Fan-thank you
