I've been sitting on the fence

I've been trying to decide whether to go to NYC, alone, this year. (Bob has decided he doesn't want to go.) This would be the 8th year I've attended the BEA (Book Expo America), and I've gone without Bob, twice, when it was in Los Angeles. I really don't want to miss it, but it's also not essential to my well being that I go; in other words - I'd live.

When I found out Bob didn't want to go, I asked Carrie if she'd like to meet me in NYC, and go; she's a book lover, too. Alas, she and her family have other plans. So, heavy sign inserted here, I've been wavering.

I finally decided, I'm going; alone to NYC. I'm staying where we always stay, two blocks from the Javitz Convention Center; I know the neighborhood, I'm comfortable there and know where to eat, etc.. I made my flight arrangements. It's a done deal, as far as I'm concerned.

I'm very excited. And I'm very glad I'm not sitting on the fence about this, any longer. The BEA is not until the end of May, but I like to plan ahead, and have my ducks in a row.

  1. Cute post. I'm glad you decided to go. Can't wait to hear your insights on all the new books! Someday I want to visit NYC. Maybe when I go you can share insights on places to stay, see and where to eat!
