I had a spot of surgery yesterday, (nothing serious, just necessary). The pre-op instructions said to not work for a week, what a pity! The following week is to be light duty. That all makes sense. Right before they put me "under", my doctor, who is also one of my customers at the book store, asked when I was going back to work. I told him, "After the 14th." He said, "You should go back as soon as possible, you're much too valuable. You help people as much as I do". I was floored, and then soon asleep.
I've helped him numerous times with books for himself and his 9 year old daughter, is wife isn't a reader. I think that's one of the nicest compliments I've had, so I thought I'd share it.
Thanks for stopping by, we enjoyed having you,
That was a very nice compliment. Hope all went well with the surgery.
