Dudley is 14, he's been our dog for 11 years. Bob and I are his third owners. He's a great boy, and lots of fun.
Last night, when Bob was taking him for his evening walk, Dudley collapsed. Bob scooped him up and carried him home. Dudley was panting and clearly in distress.
Bob had an appointment at the Hematologist in San Diego, today. I usually go with him but I stayed behind to see to Dudley. It's a sad day, today.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing my life with me,
I'm so sorry to hear about Dud, I hope he's doing better today!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, Janice. This kind of thing is never easy.
ReplyDeleteI'm so very sorry, Janice and Bob. We love our pets so much it hurts, don't we. I always carry a cell phone and never go far when I walk Ranger, only in the neighborhood because I fear something similar happening and he's too big to carry.
ReplyDeleteOh Jan, I'm so sorry. That's the hardest decision even when you know it's the right thing. I wish Bob was with you today, such a hard thing especially alone. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, so sorry to hear about sweet Dudley.
